Don’t Vote With Your Thumb On Saturday. Vote With Your Index Finger – INEC

Voters Education.

There are over 70 parties on the ballot for Saturday Election. To make the ballot paper short, the independent national electoral commission (INEC) had to reduce the voting space.

As a result of many candidates on the ballot this year, the space for you to place your fingerprint has been reduced. Therefore, voters are advised to vote with their index finger, rather than their thumb. The ink might spill into another space if you use your thumb and that will invalidate your Vote.

If you have a big or large thumb, when you thumbprint the ink could enter another party logo or box.

Pls thumbprint carefully or use ur index finger to vote.

Buhari Accused Of Inciting Violence During His Speech At APC Rally In Zamfara

Mr. Gimba Kakanda, the Media Personality and Political Economist, have accused President Buhari of inciting violence during his speech at the APC Campaign Rally in Zamfara State.

In a footage that we’ve been furnished with, President buhari was heard telling the people of Zamfara in Hausa language, to eat to their fill before coming out on the Election day, so that if there’s an unrest, they’re prepared.

Mr. Gimba Kakanda on sharing the clip, wrote;

When I saw a clip of this video last night, I shared my concern about the context. Having listened to a long audio and this, I’m worried. Buhari is telling Zamfara people to eat to their fill before coming out on the Election Day, so that if there’s an unrest, they are prepared.

Buhari is the Commander-in-Chief and tasked with providing security, not inciting violence as this Zamfara outing reveals. It’s quite sad that he got the chance to address these people, who’ve lost loved ones under his watch, and this insensitive speech was what he had for them.

This is coming days after Governor Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar of Zamfara State threatened that there would be no elections in the State if the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) exclude the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates from the forth coming elections.
