Nnamdi Kanu on a live broadcast confirms Calling off election boycott

The leader of the indigenous people of biafra, (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu on a live broadcast this morning confirms to the people over his calling off of election boycott in south east.

He said: “Earlier today, February 14, 2019, I received confirmation from our team that all of our pre-conditions played before those kicking off to call off the elections have been met. And in view of that, I hereby lift the boycott of elections.He asked the Igbo to spread the “good news” but added the group’s resolve remains the same: a sovereign state of Biafra.

“We said it from the beginning, nobody should expect us to participate in any form of elections unless our demands are met. And I am glad to tell you that they have acceded to our demands and it will be fully implemented,” he said.

“I therefore ask each and everyone of you to take this good news to all our towns and villages that the boycott has been lifted. And we will all go about on the 16th of February to discharge whatever duties we have or whatever beliefs … for groups and individuals.

He concluded by saying Never again will they take IPOB for granted, and never again will people underrate our resolve. We have showed it to them and we shall continue to demonstrate it until Biafra republic is restored. I thank you very much and may God be with you.”

The leader of the separatist group in Nigeria popularly known as IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kalu, from his twitter handle suspended their election boycott in south east.

According to him, he said that preconditions has been agreed on and signed, and also mentions the historic victory to all the IPOB members across countries.

91 Million Nigerians Now Living In Extreme Poverty – World Poverty Clock.

The world poverty clock confirms that Over 91 million Nigerians are now living in extreme poverty,

At least three million Nigerians have slipped into extreme poverty between November 2018 and February 2019.

According to the World Poverty Clock, created by Vienna-based World Data Lab, 91.16 million Nigerians were living below a dollar a day as of February 13, 2019.

In June 2018, it was recorded that Nigeria had overtaken India, as the poverty capital of the world, with 86.9 million extremely poor people.

The British Prime Minister Theresa May, confirms that Nigeria had become home to the largest number of very poor people in the world, putting the figures at 87 million poor peoples.

Today, India has 48.7 million people living in poverty, from 73 million in June 2018. By implication, India has pulled out a minimum of 24 million people from poverty in less than eight months.

Meanwhile, using the World Bank’s poverty line, if you live below $1.90 a day, you will be classified as living in extreme poverty.

Two men nab by police transiting 17 sacks containing thumb-printed ballots in Kano

The police in Kano State today impounded 17 sacks containing thumb-printed ballot papers in Sabon Gari area of Kano.

According to Credible security source, it was reported that the ballots have already been thumb-printed on APC box. The thumb-printed sacks were later moved to the command headquarters for further investigations.

The command spokesman, Haruna Abdullahi, later Revealed that those ballot papers impounded were not genuine but ‘specimen’ to enlighten voters in jigawa State.

Gunmen In Military Uniform Attack INEC Vehicle With Election Materials In Benue.

According to report reaching us now, An unknown Gunmen wearing a military uniform, attacked the independent national electoral commission (INEC) vehicle conveying an election materials from Benue State to one of the LGAs in the state.

REC, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, the state INEC’s resident electoral commissioner, disclosed the information while addressing the newsmen in the state.

He said,” “This is true. Recently, our vehicle which was conveying non sensitive materials was attacked along Logo area by people in military uniform.”

APC Kogi State plan to use fake police and civil defence to buy vote – Dino malaye.

Nigerian senator representing kogi west senatorial district, senator Dino Melaye today from his Instagram account shared a video allegedly saying that APC kogi state are planning of importing fake police and civil defence from other states to execute their vote buying  plan before election.

He said” we have credible more information, that the APC kogi state  have recruited a militia from taraba state and from neighbouring nasarawa state, in police and civil defence uniform to create havoc before adjourning the elections, they want to share money on the night before election,

Avengers Endorse Atiku, Threaten A Crumbled Economy If Election Is Rigged.

The Niger Del8ta Militant group, populary known as Avengers, (NDA), has issued a warning that if President Muhammadu Buhari rigs or manipulate his way back as president, that the Nigeria economy will once again crumble down.

The group said that they rejected the purported plan to endorse President Buhari by some ex-militant leaders, saying that Nigeria should be prepared for an endless recession if Buhari insists on imposing himself on the people.

The spokesperson of the group (NDA) “Brig Gen” Mudoch Agbinibo, in a statement, declare that, “As a warning and closing note; we want to reverberates it to the members of the International Community, multinational corporations and subsidiaries’ operatives to withdraw their workforce and services from Niger Delta within this period of elections.”

The group said, “We are in charge of the struggle now and our strike teams are active and gallantly waiting to receive order from the high command to crumble the Nigerian Economy again if President Buhari is rigged back to office.”

The added saying, “this time, it will be a perpetual recession for Nigeria, as we shall not back down until oil stops to flow in the pipes that braces our feet in our land,”

Avengers said the warning to the multinational corporations was for them “not to be casualties to the ongoing securitization and incitement in Niger Delta by the Nigerian military authority.

President Buhari To Address Nigerians By Today 7pm.

President Muhammadu Buhari will be addressing Nigerians today at 7 pm, concerning about his presidential re-election manifesto and as well to plead with Nigerians to adhere in contribution to succeed a peaceful election.

It was announced in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

It will be viewed at all television and radio stations and other electronic media devices, everyone are expected and advised to hook up to the network services of the NTA channel and Radio Nigeria for the live broadcast.

The former vice President of Nigeria and also the presidential candidate of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) Alahji Atiku Abubakar, earlier today from his twitter handle made a live video stream on twitter telling and proclaiming to Nigerians, about his manifesto and the importance of coming out to vote on election day.

While speaking’ He emphasis more about the importance of voting, he said that all Nigerians should understand that periodic election time is an opportunity for the citizens to compare the immediate condition of the country and as well to choose whether to continue with the present administration or to change and elect a new representative government. He added that Nigerians should never relent during election period as to be the only alternative for them to vote out the government and to also vote in’ their desired person.

He concluded by saying that all Nigerians should make sure that they participated in voting on election day, even if they are not voting for him, but to ensure that they come out to vote for any candidate on election day.

Elections: UK threatens Nigerian politicians with visa ban, asset forfeiture

The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has warned that Nigerian politicians who involves in inciting violence during the Nigerian presidential election on Saturday 16th, would have their visas banned and valuable properties in the UK seized.

According to report, Ms Laing gave the warning at a press briefing on Wednesday in Abuja to unveil the Election Situation Room of the Civil Society Situation Room set up by a coalition of civil society organisations(CSOs) to monitor the polls in Abuja.

She therefore also made it clear to all the political parties that apart from their assets being seized in the UK, that they should also be ready to face a worst case scenario of prosecution.

She added“ Our two main basic priority are on security not just on the role the police will play to ensure peace but about the role of individuals making themselves available as a violence instrument being paid to cause problems during or after elections .

The UN Secretary-General for West Africa and other officials thanked the CSOs group for launching a situation room, remarking it as a good work toward the elections.

Mr Ibn Chambas said it showed that the groups were prepared for the elections and ready to monitor the voting process, as well as to help UN with the ideas on the Voting process in Nigeria.

According to the America ambassador to Nigeria and the convener of the Situation room, said that the situation room would definitely help to monitor all the activities going on during the election and to also pass information to Nigerians so as to succeed and guarantee free, air and credible elections.

My ambition not worth the life of any Nigerian, says Atiku

Earlier today at the second time signing of the national peace accord by all the presidential candidates for the upcoming election on Saturday 16th. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, was reportedly said that his political ambition is not worth the life of any Nigerian.
